True love is always sacrificial. If you want to know whether somebody really loves you, find out what he or she is willing to sacrifice for you.

What was God willing to sacrifice? He was willing to give up the most precious thing he possessed…His own Son, Jesus Christ.

God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
