Surfing Sunday School @ Anchor Isle:
Sunday’s at 8:45 and 10:00 AM
Sunday School serves as the centerpiece of our ministry to children because it is the foundation of our teaching and caring ministry. We have 1st – 5th grade classes in Anchor Isle (our Children’s Wing) where children can build relationships and friendships that will last for eternity.
Our curriculum is designed to teach children basic Bible stories and principles using a variety of different methods in an imaginative environment. We begin at The Dock [include picture], an assembly area where children are greeted by their Shepherd (teacher) and join with others in lively worship and biblical learning.
Our Sunday School is on a five week rotating schedule. After the initial gathering time, each class heads out to one of five locations on Anchor Isle. By the end of the rotation, each class will have visited every corner of the Island. Our Shepherds lead the children to their scheduled room and stay with them throughout the morning.
By the end of each five-week rotation, the children will have learned the focal Bible story, memorized a key verse and explored how all this applies in real life. Our kids are excited about coming to Surf our Sunday School and our parents are thrilled that teaching the Bible has been made so much fun.
