4 Year Old Kindergarten: (M, W, F ½ day or M-F full day)

One of the goals of the 4 year old kindergarten program at Lake Bowen is to prepare your child to successfully enter Kindergarten the following school year. Being a successful lifetime learner begins in the early years of life. At Lake Bowen, we will introduce much of the scheduling and activities that will make the transition to kindergarten and easy one.

Our preschool program has two important components. The first is our WEE Learn Biblical Curriculum which is used as the framework on which our teachers can build an early childhood program that allows children to grow and develop as Jesus did- “in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” (Luke 2:52)

A child’s growth and development is a process, not an event. The WEE Learn curriculum focuses on each step of this process: spiritual, physical, mental, emotional and social development.

The second component is the educational focus of our curriculum. With a desire to have your child ready for kindergarten, we utilize the educational standards set forth by the Department of Education to ensure this readiness. As these are approved and passed down each year, we re-visit our curriculum plans making sure we are on track in teaching your child each year.
